On the 21st, the police transferred two individuals to the prosecution for publicly criticizing and insulting medical students who returned to school in an online community.

The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency Cyber Crime Investigation Unit announced that on the same day, they transferred two individuals to the prosecution without detention on charges of insulting and defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act against the returning medical students. It is reported that they posted such messages with the intent to disrupt the participation of medical students in classes. Previously, multiple mocking posts identifying the personal information of medical students who returned to classes appeared on the anonymous online community 'Everytime' and some university bulletin boards.

A police official said, "We plan to continue a strict investigation into similar acts of online group harassment."

The Ministry of Education referred the allegations of disruption of classes by these medical students to the police in January. Additionally, the Ministry of Education's student protection and reporting center is collecting incidents where new students have been pressured to take a leave of absence for the 2025 academic year and is passing this information on to the police for investigation.
