According to the legal community on the 19th, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office’s Criminal Division 2 (Director General Jo Ah-ra) has indicted Ahn on charges of attempted trespassing and damaging public property.

Ahn was investigated by the police for attempting to break into the Chinese embassy in South Korea in a Captain America costume on the 14th of last month. He was later arrested in the act for trying to break into the entrance glass of the Namdaemun Police Station around 11 p.m. on the 20th of the same month.

Ahn is also under investigation for presenting a 'fake U.S. military ID' to the police, and he is accused of forging and using a private document. Ahn is reported to have claimed to be Captain Michael Peters, a 'black agent' of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), but investigations revealed that he is a Korean with no record of entering the United States, having served as an army sergeant.

Ahn is suspected to be the source of a report from a domestic media outlet claiming the 'capture of 99 Chinese spies.' This outlet reported on January 16 that 'on the day of the emergency military regime, South Korean and U.S. military authorities captured 99 Chinese spies at the election management training center in Suwon and handed them over to the U.S. military.'

In a recorded conversation with this media outlet, Ahn introduced himself as a black agent from an overseas intelligence agency and stated, 'The content has also been reported to President Trump.'

However, in an interview with KBS conducted before his arrest, he said, 'I deceived all the reporters and politicians.'
