Lee's son, a man in his 30s identified as Lee Mo, was reportedly accompanied by his wife, identified as A, in the rental car used in the attempt to purchase drugs. The police have identified A as an accomplice and have booked her as a suspect.

According to police on the 7th, the Seoul Seocho Police Station has captured evidence that Lee's son, Lee Mo, was accompanied by his wife A and another individual in the vehicle used for the crime, and they have been booked together on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.

The police analyzed the closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from near the scene to identify the type and number of the vehicle used in the crime and reportedly determined the identities of the couple. It was found that the vehicle was a rental car.

A reportedly stated during a police investigation conducted immediately after the first media report that her father-in-law is Congressman Lee Chul-kyu when asked about her family relations.

Lee is accused of an unsuccessful attempt to find liquid marijuana buried in a flower bed in a residential area of Seocho District using the so-called 'throwing' method last October. The police confirmed Lee's identity on January 3 this year and arrested the couple on the 25th of last month, 53 days later. Lee showed a negative reaction in a quick drug test shortly after his arrest.

The police have requested a detailed examination of urine and hair samples from Lee and his wife from the National Forensic Service and are awaiting the results while investigating the details of the crime plan and conspiracy.
