The Seoul Seocho Police Station reported on the 5th that it had transferred a man in his 40s, identified as A, who threw a shoe at Lee Jae-myung, the representative of the Democratic Party, as he was entering the court for the first trial related to the Public Official Election Act last year, to the prosecution on the 25th of last month.
A is charged with throwing a shoe at Representative Lee at around 2:18 p.m. on Nov. 15 last year while entering the Southern Court of the Seoul Central District Court to attend the first trial of the Public Official Election Act.
At the time, A shouted at Representative Lee while throwing the shoe and was arrested in the act. Representative Lee was not hit by the shoe. A was reportedly holding a T-shirt that read 'electoral commission computer manipulation.'
