Lee Jae-woong, founder of Tada, criticized Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party, for his comments about 'K-NVIDIA,' saying, "The Democratic Party must reflect on its past of cursing and hampering innovative corporations." Lee stated that he would create a company similar to NVIDIA and secure 30% of its equity to build a society that does not rely on taxes.
The former representative noted on the 4th on his social networking service (SNS), "At that time in 2020, my equity and that of my close associates in Tada was slightly less than 30%. I implored the Democratic Party and the government not to pass laws that hinder innovation in corporations, promising to share that equity with all citizens," adding, "Yet the Democratic Party, under the leadership of Lee Jae-myung, who passed the Tada prohibition law without batting an eye, claims he will create a company like NVIDIA and secure 30% of its equity to build a society that does not rely on taxes."
He further criticized, "It is astonishing that Lee Jae-myung, the party leader of the Democratic Party (at that time not a member of the National Assembly but the governor of Gyeonggi Province, who remembered not mentioning anything about the Tada issue), makes such statements while the Democratic Party forcibly passed legislation to prevent entrepreneurs from stopping innovation and vowed to return personal equity to society."
He also stated, "Despite raising the white flag and promising to return equity to society, the individual who pushed for the Tada prohibition law was Park Hong-geun, the secretary general of Lee Jae-myung's presidential campaign and the floor leader of the Lee Jae-myung faction."
He remarked, "If one is truly invested in innovative corporations by supporting numerous AI startups since the beginning and sharing the results of that equity with society, who would object? However, if the Democratic Party curses innovative corporations and entrepreneurs but then plans to secure 30% of the equity without proper reflection, who would believe in that sincerity?"
He raised his voice, saying, "Even if corporations are continually cursed and hampered from innovating, doesn't it sound like, if they succeed despite that curse, they should be forced to sacrifice their equity to the government?" The former representative remarked, "Innovative corporations create greater value by breaking the existing social system, hence they absolutely need the support of society and the state," and added, "AI-related corporations are likely to disrupt the existing social order, reducing the role of labor and greatly increasing the role of capital."
He concluded, "Nonetheless, improving productivity and securing core technologies using AI, regardless of borders, is crucial for the survival of the nation. Therefore, society and the state must agree on innovative corporations and new rules to support them in securing global competitiveness."
