On March 1, a large-scale pro and anti-impeachment rally surrounding President Yoon Suk-yeol took place in the Gwanghwamun area of Seoul, causing trains to bypass Gwanghwamun Station on Line 5.
Seoul Metropolitan Subway announced through a message that, due to the crowds related to the large-scale urban rally, trains on Line 5 were bypassing Gwanghwamun Station from 2:46 p.m.
Near Gwanghwamun Station that day, the Korea Restoration Movement Headquarters, led by Pastor Jun Kwang-hoon, held an anti-impeachment rally, while the Candlelight Action group organized a rally to demand impeachment. It was estimated that 65,000 and 5,000 people participated in each rally, respectively.
From 3:30 p.m., the five opposition parties, including the Democratic Party, will hold a 'National Conference to Demand the Dismissal of Yoon Suk-yeol.'
