YouTuber Yuki, who has 1.21 million subscribers, revealed a non-prosecution decision document, saying he was falsely accused of sexual assault last year. Although he filed a countersuit against the woman who accused him, the situation escalated as she publicly shared Yuki's photo.
Yuki, a Japanese-Korean YouTuber, revealed the non-prosecution decision document he received from the Mapo Police Station in Seoul on June 27 last year.
In a YouTube post, he stated, "I was falsely accused of sexual harassment and sexual assault by a woman named A who was cosplaying. The other party took my phone while I was drunk, extracted my private and personal information, and demanded 80 million won with someone who claimed to be a cousin."
He added, "After reviewing all the surveillance camera (CCTV) footage, I was found not guilty and received a non-prosecution decision. I am currently proceeding with a countersuit on the basis of false accusation and five other items."
A requested to meet Yuki through social networking service (SNS) in April last year. After having drinks at a tavern in Mapo District, Seoul, A claimed that Yuki sexually harassed her at the second bar and touched certain parts of her body with both hands at the third bar.
However, police confirmed through CCTV footage and other evidence that Yuki was already intoxicated at the second bar. They did not find any evidence of Yuki assaulting A. Additionally, police verified that Yuki and A communicated casually through SNS messages right after the incident.
Yuki stated, "Since that day, I have been continuously threatened for over a year until this moment," and added, "As I continued my YouTube activities without responding, today (A) has spread my photo, so I'm also sharing the fact of my false accusation."
Earlier, A, an internet broadcaster, claimed through X, "Yuki asked me to drink together, and after drinking, he sexually assaulted me," and stated, "I don't remember anything from the drinking session with Yuki."
A continued, "A friend told me about my sexual assault incident, so I filed the complaint," and remarked, "When I suggested to settle, he refused and reported me with retaliatory threats. It's absurd."
A also revealed Yuki's photo. He had been active without disclosing his face until now.
Yuki has currently deleted his YouTube channel.
