On the 1st of next month, cold high pressure from the north and warm, humid south winds will converge, creating rain clouds. Intense rain will fall in Jeju, South Jeolla, Chungcheong, the capital region, and inland areas and mountains in Gangwon. After that, the rain will turn into dense and heavy wet snow in eastern Gangwon and northeastern North Gyeongsang as the cold high pressure expands its influence, causing the weather to become rapidly colder.
The expected rainfall on the 1st of next month is 5 to 20 mm for Jeju, 5 to 10 mm for Gwangju, South Jeolla, Busan, Ulsan, and South Gyeongsang, and 5 mm for the capital region, Chungcheong, and inland areas and mountains in Gangwon. Eastern Gangwon and northeastern North Gyeongsang are also expected to receive snow on the 4th and 5th of next month, with heavy snowfall of up to 50 cm.
Temperatures will fluctuate between cold and warm for the time being. The morning low temperature on the 28th will range from minus 3 degrees to 7 degrees Celsius, from minus 2 degrees to 7 degrees on the 1st of next month, and will rise from 1 degree to 11 degrees on the 2nd. From the 3rd to the 9th of next month, the morning temperature will drop again to between minus 6 degrees and 8 degrees. The daytime high temperatures are forecasted to rise from 9 degrees to 18 degrees on the 28th, from 10 degrees to 17 degrees on the 1st, from 9 degrees to 18 degrees on the 2nd, and from 2 degrees to 11 degrees from the 3rd to the 9th.
