Kim Sae-ron was found dead at her home in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 16th.

Following the news of her passing, actor Won Bin, who filmed "The Man from Nowhere" with Kim Sae-ron, along with Han So-hee, AKMU's Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Soo-hyun, and Jang Seong-kyu, visited her memorial to pay their respects.

Tributes from colleagues continued online. Kim Ok-bin, Seo Ye-ji, Jeon Hyo-sung, Hong Seok-cheon, and Lee Jong-hyuk shared photos of chrysanthemums on social media, expressing their condolences.

Kim Sae-ron entered the entertainment industry in 2001 as a child model for the magazine "Anfang" and began her acting career with the film "Traveler" in 2009.

With her participation in the Korean-French co-produced film "Traveler" directed by Lee Chang-dong receiving an invitation to the Cannes Film Festival, she was recorded as the youngest actor from South Korea to walk the Cannes red carpet. She showcased a wide range of emotional performances in films such as "The Man from Nowhere" and "Dohee-ya," earning the title of "genius child actor."

However, Kim Sae-ron halted her activities after causing a drunk driving traffic accident in May 2022. She stepped down from the drama "Trolley," and her scenes in the Netflix series "Hunting Dogs," which were mostly completed, were edited out.

Kim Sae-ron attempted to return to activities after two years through the play "Dongchimi," but she stepped down citing health reasons just a day after the comeback was announced amid controversy. Her last work is the film "Guitar Man," which has not yet been released.
