On Sunday, the 16th, the country will be generally cloudy before becoming clear. The daytime high temperature is expected to be higher than the previous day, ranging from 6 to 14 degrees. Air quality is expected to be poor.
On that day, the Korea Meteorological Administration noted, "The country will be generally cloudy but will gradually clear up in the afternoon," and added, "The temperature will be higher than normal." It was forecasted that cold air would move in from the northwest at night, making it colder again.
In northern Gyeonggi Province and northern Gangwon Province, rain droplets of less than 0.1 mm are expected to fall. In Jeju, there will be rain or snow until dawn, with the expected snowfall in the mountainous areas of Jeju ranging from 1 to 5 cm.
The morning low temperature will range from -4 to 4 degrees, and the daytime high will fluctuate between 6 and 14 degrees. The expected morning low temperatures in major regions are as follows: Seoul 1 degree, Incheon 2 degrees, Chuncheon -6, Gangneung 2 degrees, Cheongju 0 degrees, Daejeon -2 degrees, Jeonju 0 degrees, Gwangju 1 degree, Daegu 1 degree, Busan 4 degrees, and Jeju 8 degrees.
The daytime high temperatures are forecasted to be as follows: Seoul 9 degrees, Incheon 6 degrees, Chuncheon 7 degrees, Gangneung 11 degrees, Cheongju 11 degrees, Daejeon 9 degrees, Jeonju 11 degrees, Gwangju 12 degrees, Daegu 14 degrees, Busan 13 degrees, and Jeju 13 degrees. The atmosphere is expected to be very dry, especially in the eastern Gangwon Province and the eastern coast of North Gyeongsang Province, where a dry weather warning is in effect.
The concentration of fine dust is expected to be "bad" in the metropolitan area, western Gangwon Province, Chungcheong Province, Gwangju, North Jeolla Province, Daegu, and North Gyeongsang Province, while other regions are expected to be "normal." Some areas in the metropolitan area, Chungcheong Province, and the Yeongnam region will show levels of ultra-fine dust at the "bad" stage. It appears that fine dust will gradually dissipate starting from the metropolitan area as clean northwestern air flows in at night.
