The office of President Yoon Suk Yeol submitted a petition to the Constitutional Court on the 20th to change the date of the 10th hearing. According to the legal community on the 14th, President Yoon's legal representatives submitted a request to the Constitutional Court to change the date of the 10th hearing on the 20th. The submission reportedly came immediately after the Constitutional Court announced that it would hold an additional hearing on the 20th.

President Yoon's side requested a change of date, stating that the first preliminary hearing for President Yoon's charges of insurrection is scheduled for the 20th and that a hearing for the cancellation of his detention will also take place that day, making it difficult for the legal team to respond to the impeachment trial.

President Yoon appointed separate legal teams for the impeachment trial and the criminal case, but many attorneys are addressing both cases together.

The Constitutional Court stated, "Currently, the justices are discussing whether to change the date," adding that "the decision will be notified on that day or at the next hearing date (the 18th)."
