In a primary school in Daejeon, it was determined that Kim Ha-neul, a girl in her 40s, died from a knife wound inflicted by a female teacher.
On the 12th, the Daejeon Western Police Agency stated that they received a forensic opinion from the National Institute of Scientific Investigation, indicating the cause of death as 'multiple sharp instrument injuries.'
Death from multiple sharp instrument injuries refers to a situation where a person dies due to multiple injuries inflicted by a sharp knife.
Police investigations have also intensified regarding the suspect, the female teacher in her 40s, who allegedly killed Kim. The police obtained a search and seizure warrant late the previous evening and proceeded to search the teacher's residence and vehicle.
The Daejeon Western Police Agency also secured the teacher's mobile phone from the crime scene and is currently conducting digital forensic work.
The police noted, 'I haven’t received specific reports on the (perpetrator's) condition, but I was told that she is still in the intensive care unit after surgery, like yesterday.'
However, even if the execution of the arrest warrant is delayed, if the teacher is in a state where she can communicate, it is known that the investigation will resume even on that day.
