The father of an 8-year-old girl who was killed by a teacher at an elementary school in Daejeon claimed that it was "a planned crime."
According to police and others on the 11th, the father of the deceased girl A, Mr. B, claimed that "the perpetrating teacher must have known that the child was alone and brought the weapon herself, so it cannot be anything but a planned crime."
It was reported that A had been the only child remaining in the school's after-school care class until her art academy class started at 4:40 p.m. since she registered for the art academy last week.
According to police and others, A was found stabbed in the audiovisual room on the second floor of an elementary school in Gwanjeodong, Seo-gu, Daejeon, around 6 p.m. on the 10th. She was transported to the hospital in an unconscious state but ultimately died.
The suspect, the female teacher C, was also found with stab wounds in her neck and arms and was receiving hospital treatment. She reportedly confessed to the police after being transferred to the hospital. C, a regular employee teacher in her 40s, took a leave of absence due to depression and was reinstated at the end of last year.
Mr. B noted that thanks to a parental control application installed on his daughter's mobile phone, he was able to hear sounds around them, and from about 4:50 p.m., when he began looking for his child, he heard all the sounds until he found her.
He said, "I could no longer hear my child's voice, but I kept hearing sounds like an old woman running, heavy breathing, the sound of drawers opening and closing, and the sound of a bag zipper being opened."
He added, "The teacher couldn't conquer her anger caused by depression and killed an innocent child." He stated, "Although our child has become a star, we should not let a second victim appear in the future. I want to hold the school firmly responsible."
Meanwhile, the police plan to investigate the exact motive and circumstances of the crime as soon as C, who underwent surgery, recovers.
