The coming 12th, which is both the first full moon of the lunar calendar and a Wednesday, is expected to see snow or rain in most areas nationwide, clearing gradually from the evening.
Heavy snow and rain are expected in the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, northern Chungbuk, Jeolla, northeastern inland of Gyeongbuk, western inland of Gyeongnam, and Jeju Island until the evening.
The expected snowfall amounts are 3 to 8 cm in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, central and northern Chungbuk, inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, northeastern inland and mountainous areas of Gyeongbuk, 1 to 5 cm in Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam, southern Chungbuk, and eastern Jeonbuk, and about 1 cm in the eastern coast of Gyeongbuk and central inland of Ulsan and Gyeongnam.
The expected precipitation amounts are 5 to 10 mm in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, the five islands of the west sea, inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, Daegu, Gyeongbuk, and Ulleungdo and Dokdo, and less than 5 mm in the eastern coast of Gangwon.
The morning low temperature is forecasted to be between -4 and 6 degrees, while the daytime high temperature is expected to range from 2 to 12 degrees.
The concentration of fine dust is expected to reach 'bad' levels in the metropolitan area, western Gangwon, and Chungbuk and Chungnam, while other regions are forecasted to be at 'normal' levels. However, Gyeonggi Province and Daejeon and Sejong are expected to remain at 'bad' levels until the morning and temporarily at 'bad' levels at night.
