On Tuesday, the 11th, a morning cold wave is forecasted, but temperatures will gradually rise from the afternoon.
Morning temperatures will be around -10 degrees in most regions nationwide (with eastern Gyeonggi, inland and mountainous Gangwon, northern Chungbuk, and northeastern Gyeongbuk dropping below -15 degrees), and with slightly stronger winds, the perceived temperature will be even lower, making it feel very cold.
The morning low temperature is forecasted to be between -13 and -1 degrees, and the afternoon high temperature is expected to be between 4 and 9 degrees.
In major regions, the morning low temperatures are as follows: Seoul -5 degrees, Incheon -3 degrees, Suwon -7 degrees, Chuncheon -13 degrees, Gangneung -4 degrees, Cheongju -6 degrees, Daejeon -7 degrees, Jeonju -5 degrees, Gwangju -4 degrees, Daegu -7 degrees, Busan -1 degree, Jeju 2 degrees.
The afternoon high temperatures are as follows: Seoul 6 degrees, Incheon 5 degrees, Suwon 6 degrees, Chuncheon 5 degrees, Gangneung 8 degrees, Cheongju 7 degrees, Daejeon 9 degrees, Jeonju 9 degrees, Gwangju 9 degrees, Daegu 9 degrees, Busan 9 degrees, Jeju 11 degrees.
With snow accumulating in the central and Jeolla regions, as well as some inland areas of Gyeongsangbuk-do and Jeju Island, many places may have icy roads and frozen patches, so caution is advised for transportation safety.
The weather nationwide will generally be clear, but it will gradually become overcast from the night, and rain may fall late at night in the southwestern coastal area of Jeonnam and on Jeju Island.
The concentration of fine dust is expected to be at a level of 'good' to 'moderate' nationwide. However, the metropolitan area and Chungcheong region may temporarily show 'bad' levels at night.
From dawn to morning, dense fog with visibility below 200 meters is expected in southern Chungcheong and the inland areas of Jeonbuk and Jeonnam, and areas with visibility below 1 kilometer are anticipated in other regions.
In the central waters of the East Sea and the outer northern waters of the southern East Sea, winds will be very strong at 30 to 60 kilometers per hour until the morning, with very high waves.
The sea waves will be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East Sea near shore, and 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the West Sea and South Sea near shore. In the distant waters (approximately 200 kilometers off the coast), wave heights are expected to be 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the East Sea and 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the West Sea and South Sea.
