The Korean National Police Agency has blocked access to the Chinese generative artificial intelligence (AI) site 'DeepSeek' on work PCs.
On the 6th, the Korean National Police Agency noted, "There are security concerns such as personal information leakage when using DeepSeek, so access to DeepSeek has been blocked from 7 a.m. until a security confirmation is ensured."
It also stated, "We urgently disseminated the 'precautions when using generative AI' to ensure careful input of non-public administrative information."
Currently, there is an increasing number of cases where government ministries, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and Ministry of Health and Welfare, are restricting access to DeepSeek based on their own judgments.
