The police cleared the couple, known as 'the dog president,' Kang Hyung-wook, who was accused of illegally accessing employees' internal messenger.
On the 6th, the North Gyeonggi Cyber Investigation Unit announced that Kang Hyung-wook and his wife, Susan Elder, who were under investigation for violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment, were cleared of charges on the 5th.
The police explained, "As a result of closely analyzing the facts based on investigations of the complainants, the accused, and related evidence, it was difficult to find grounds for criminal charges."
Earlier, the couple was indicted last year by former employees of their dog training company, Bodum Company, on charges of illegally accessing the company's messenger (violation of the Act on the Aggravated Punishment) and underwent investigation.
At that time, Kang stated in a clarification video posted on his YouTube channel, "I don't think I was such a good representative," while denying the allegations of illegally accessing the messenger.
Meanwhile, if the employees oppose the police's dismissal of the case, a reinvestigation may occur.
