According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 30th, temperatures in most areas of the country have dropped below zero, and this cold weather is expected to continue until the morning of the 31st. In the northeastern inland of Gyeonggi Province, inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon Province, and central and northern Chungbuk Province, where a cold wave warning is in effect, temperatures are expected to drop below minus 12 degrees (around minus 15 degrees in some inland areas of Gangwon). In most other areas of the country, temperatures will also decrease to between minus 10 and 5 degrees.

On the 31st, the weather is expected to be generally cloudy across the country. In the metropolitan area and the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon Province, there may be rain or snow from early morning until nighttime, while in the northern regions of Chungnam and central and northern Chungbuk, it may rain or snow from the afternoon until nighttime. The expected snowfall (precipitation) amount is 1 to 5 centimeters (less than 5 millimeters) in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi Province, and the five islands of the Western Sea, and around 1 centimeter (1 millimeter) in Sejong, northern Chungnam, and central and northern Chungbuk.

On February 1, which is the first day of February and a Saturday, the weather is expected to be generally cloudy, with some areas experiencing rain or snow.

In the northern outer sea of the southern East Sea and the southern outer sea of the southern East Sea, where a wave warning is in effect, winds will blow very strongly at 30 to 60 kilometers per hour until dawn on the 31st. The central inland outer sea of the East Sea will experience strong winds until the morning of the 31st, and the central outer sea of the East Sea will be affected until the afternoon of the 31st. Waves are expected to be very high, at 1.5 to 4.0 meters, so vessels navigating or operating in these areas should exercise caution.

From early morning on the 1st, very strong winds exceeding 70 kilometers per hour are expected to blow in Jeju Island.
