The prosecution plans to conduct a full investigation into all major participants presumed to be supporters of President Yoon Suk-yeol, who broke into the Seoul Western District Court in the early hours of the 19th, damaged property, and assaulted police.

The Supreme Public Prosecutors' Office stated in a press announcement that “the illegal and violent occupation protests committed at the Seoul Western District Court and nearby represent a very serious crime that completely denies the rule of law and the judicial system,” and instructed that a dedicated team be formed at the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office for strict response.

The dedicated team will consist of nine prosecutors, including the head of team Vice Administrator Shin Dong-won of the Western District Prosecutors' Office. The dedicated team plans to work closely with the police to conduct the investigation, which will include a full investigation of all major participants. The prosecution noted that “it will do its utmost to ensure that appropriate penalties are imposed, such as seeking heavy sentences.”
