Ahn Se-young defeated Gregoria Mariska Tunjung (Indonesia, world ranking No. 5) 2-0 (21-19, 21-16) in the semifinals of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Tour Super 750 India Open held in New Delhi, India, on the 18th (local time).
Having secured her first victory of the year at the World Tour Super 1000 Malaysia Open, which concluded on the 12th in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Ahn Se-young aims for another title as she reaches the finals of the international tournament for two consecutive weeks.
Ahn Se-young will clash with world ranking No. 12 Pornpawee Chochuwong (Thailand) in the final on the 19th.
The men's doubles pair Seo Seung-jae and Kim Won-ho (both from Samsung Life Insurance) also advanced to the finals by defeating Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik (Malaysia) 2-0 (22-20, 21-19).
