Seongshimdang, a famous bakery in Daejeon, has recently suffered hacking damage to its official social media (SNS) account, following last year's hacking of its online mall website.
On the 17th, Seongshimdang noted through SNS, "The official Instagram account is currently unavailable due to an ID theft," revealing the hacking incident. They further asked, "Due to account management being impossible, any posts uploaded from this time until account recovery are unrelated to Seongshimdang, and we request that customers who receive messages from that account refrain from responding."
According to Seongshimdang on the 18th, the Instagram account hacking occurred the previous afternoon. Seongshimdang has identified that there are currently no damages due to the hacking.
Customers who were following the official account expressed their concerns in comments, saying, 'Last year, the Seongshimdang mall was hacked, and it was almost unusable for a year. Is it Instagram this time?' and 'Daejeon is under attack.'
Seongshimdang was also hacked last May when malicious code was inserted that redirected to phishing sites on its online shopping mall, 'Seongshimdang Mall.' After requesting an investigation from the police and shutting down the shopping mall, Seongshimdang recently restored the online mall and reopened it.
