Actor Park Seong-hoon, who sparked controversy by posting a poster of an adult film (AV) parodying the Netflix original series 'Squid Game' on social media (SNS), has ultimately dropped out of the tvN drama 'The Tyrant's Chef.'
Production company Studio Dragon stated on the 12th, "After much discussion with the production team and Park Seong-hoon's side, we have decided that it would be difficult to collaborate on this project." They added, "In relation to recent events, both the actor and the agency have expressed their apologies several times and have been closely consulting regarding various situations," and concluded, "After discussions, the production team and Park Seong-hoon have decided to continue on their respective paths."
On the 30th of last month, Park Seong-hoon posted a photo of an adult film parodying the Netflix original series 'Squid Game' on his SNS, but he quickly deleted it. The photo depicted nude women dressed in training outfits reminiscent of 'Squid Game.'
Park Seong-hoon's agency, BH Entertainment, explained, "After receiving the AV cover via DM (direct message), Park Seong-hoon judged it could be problematic, so he intended to pass it on to the company's representative, but it was saved and mistakenly uploaded."
Park Seong-hoon himself apologized through an interview for Netflix original 'Squid Game 2,' saying, "I sincerely want to express my apologies for the great mistake that has caused discomfort and worry to many people."
