Lee Jin-ha, head of the security and safety division of the Presidential Security Service, who is suspected of involvement in obstructing the arrest of President Yoon Suk-yeol (obstruction of special public duty), appeared as a suspect before the police and was investigated for nearly 9 hours before returning home.

The Deputy Minister emerged from the investigation at the Korean National Police Agency headquarters in Seodaemun, Seoul, around 11 p.m. on the 11th and told reporters, "I participated in the investigation sincerely." This marks the second time a security service leadership figure has appeared before the police, following former head Park Jong-jun.

The Deputy Minister did not answer questions regarding "what part has been clarified," "the reason for complying with the investigation," "whether he was not at the residence during the execution of the arrest warrant," and "whether he also ordered the mobilization of soldiers."

A police official noted that the Deputy Minister was cooperative during the investigation. It is reported that the Deputy Minister stated that he did not lead the directive to obstruct the execution of the arrest warrant.

The police special investigation team is said to have assessed that there is considerable unrest within the Presidential Security Service ahead of the second execution of the arrest warrant against President Yoon.
