The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced that as of noon on the 10th, all heavy snow warnings have been lifted, except for some mountain areas.

Accordingly, the crisis alert level is being lowered from 'advisory' to 'attention.' The emergency phase 1 operation of the Central Disaster Management Headquarters has also been lifted.

The Central Disaster Management Headquarters activates emergency phase 1 when heavy snow advisories are issued for four or more cities and provinces, and heavy snow warnings are issued for three or more cities and provinces.

Previously, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety had activated emergency phase 1 when heavy snow warnings were issued primarily in the Jeolla and southern Chungcheong regions, as well as the western inland of Gyeongnam, as of 6 p.m. on the 8th.

Due to the snowfall this time, a total of 136 flights were canceled, including 68 at Jeju Air, 31 at Gimpo Airport, and 15 at Gwangju Airport. Ferries were also unable to operate on 77 vessels across 62 routes, including Incheon to Baengnyeong and Yeosu to Geomun.
