The police noted on the 6th that recent incidents have occurred where participants assaulted police officers during rallies near the president's residence in Hannam-dong, stating they will not overlook illegal activities.
The Korean National Police Agency, through a press notice on this day, stated, 'During the rallies held in the Hannam-dong area over the two days of the 4th and 5th, there were four cases of assaults against police officers.'
Of the four cases, three were at a rally organized by the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions calling for President Yoon Suk-yeol's arrest, and one was at a rally by the conservative group Shinjayuyeon calling against the arrest.
The Korean National Police Agency urged, 'We will apprehend offenders on the scene and conduct thorough investigations to take legal actions to prevent recurrence of assaults,' and requested active cooperation in law-abiding rallies.
