With a heavy snow warning issued for most areas of Seoul on the 5th, the city government deployed over 5,000 personnel to conduct snow removal operations.

The Seoul city government said they are deploying 5,245 personnel and 1,493 pieces of equipment for snow removal operations that day.

The Seoul city government began first-level emergency snow removal duty from 10 p.m. the previous day and is spreading de-icing agents across all areas of the city, conducting snow plowing and clearing operations on sidewalks and secondary roads.

A Seoul city official said, "Heavy snow is expected in Seoul, raising concerns about road icing," adding, "Please use public transportation if possible, and drive slowly when necessary."
