A fire broke out in the Cheonggye Tools Shopping Mall in Jangsa-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the 5th in the early morning. There are currently no reports of casualties.

According to the fire authorities, a fire occurred at approximately 3:13 a.m. in the Cheonggye Tools Shopping Mall. The fire authorities deployed 128 personnel and 34 units of equipment to commence firefighting efforts.

About two hours after the fire, around 5:21 a.m., "response level 1" was issued, evacuating approximately 60 guests from nearby hotels and mall staff.

The main blaze was under control by approximately 6:43 a.m., and they are currently in the process of extinguishing residual fires. The fire authorities plan to investigate the exact cause of the fire once it is fully subdued.
