The National Investigation Headquarters of the police's Martial Law Special Investigation Team on the 4th requested the second appearance of Park Jong-jun, the Minister of the Presidential Security Service, and Kim Sung-hoon, the Vice Minister.

The police the previous day booked Minister Park and Vice Minister Kim on charges of obstructing the execution of an arrest warrant for President Yoon Suk-yeol (obstruction of special governmental duty) and ordered them to appear by this day, but they refused.

The Presidential Security Service stated through a position statement, "Currently, due to the serious circumstances related to the presidential security duties, key commanders including the Minister of the Presidential Security Service cannot leave their posts even for an instant."

In response, the police noted that they sent a second request for Minister Park to appear by 10 a.m. on the 7th and for Vice Minister Kim by 10 a.m. on the 8th.

Previously, the police said, "Due to the unlawful obstruction of official duties by the Security Service, the execution of the arrest warrant for President Yoon was not completed." They booked Minister Park and Vice Minister Kim and demanded their appearance.
