Choi Sang-mok, acting President and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance, paid respects at the joint memorial altar for the victims of the Jeju Air passenger plane accident at the Muan General Sports Center in South Jeolla Province on the afternoon of the 30th.

Choi wrote in the guestbook, “We will remember the 179 individuals who tragically passed away and dedicate ourselves to creating a safer nation.” Afterward, Choi laid a flower and observed a moment of silence.
