At around 9 a.m. on the 30th, Mr. Lee (57), who returned to Incheon International Airport from Kota Kinabalu International Airport in Malaysia, sighed and said, "I only feel relieved when I set foot on the ground." Mr. Lee said, "Yesterday, my high school classmates sent me an article about the Jeju Air passenger aircraft incident through KakaoTalk, and I was very surprised," noting, "Yesterday, it didn't feel real, but when I tried to return home on a Jeju Air flight, I trembled from the local airport." He also said, "I prayed earnestly while holding a rosary throughout the flight, asking to arrive safely..."

Around 10:15 a.m. on the same day, Mr. Park (41), who returned from Da Nang, Vietnam, through Jeju Air, said, "I have a 4-year-old son, and when I read the article about a 3-year-old who died in the accident yesterday, it didn't feel like someone else's matter," noting, "I thought a flight to Southeast Asia was no big deal, but when the arrival time was delayed by nearly two hours, I couldn't help but worry."

People preparing to depart also expressed unease. Mr. Jin (32), who was met at the check-in counter on the third floor of Terminal 1 at Incheon International Airport, which is mainly used by low-cost carriers (LCC), said, "Starting today, I'm going on a 5-night, 6-day trip to Da Nang, Vietnam, with my girlfriend," noting, "I was happy to have managed to book a year-end flight ticket, but yesterday I wondered if I should go." He added, "My girlfriend also said she was nervous, but since we already booked the flight tickets and hotel accommodations, we decided to just go."

Mr. Choi (46), who is traveling to Beijing, China, for a business trip, said, "If it were not for work, I would not want to go out at this time." He noted, "Though it is not a long distance, given what happened yesterday, I am naturally worried," adding, "It feels more uneasy since I am using a Chinese airline, not a Korean one."

On the morning of the same day, a Jeju Air flight was delayed as well. As of 8:45 a.m., all five delayed flights at Terminal 1 were Jeju Air flights. Mr. Kim (62), who was met at the Jeju Air check-in desk, said, "My flight was supposed to be at 10:40 a.m., so I came by 8 a.m. to be safe, but now I have to wait another hour and a half," noting, "I booked it because it was cheap being a low-cost carrier, but I'm wasting time and my mind is uneasy."

On the other hand, a woman in her 60s, who is departing for Fukuoka, Japan, said, "With hundreds of flights taking off from Incheon Airport daily, the number of accidents is very small," noting, "It is unfortunate for those who passed away yesterday, of course, but I don't think I need to worry unnecessarily."
