Train operations on Seoul Subway Line 1 were delayed after a man in his 50s was hit by a train at Bugae Station.
According to Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) on the 29th, around 12:06 p.m., an individual identified as A, in their 50s, was struck by a train on the southbound track at Bugae Station, located in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon.
Due to the accident, the train came to a halt, and approximately 200 passengers transferred to subsequent trains, while the operations of two southbound trains were delayed by 10 minutes. Service on the accident track resumed around 12:44 p.m.
While A is not in a life-threatening condition, symptoms of consciousness impairment were observed, prompting transfer to a hospital by emergency medical services for treatment. The railroad police believe that A entered the track and will investigate the specific circumstances of the incident.
