Lee Ho-young, acting commissioner of the Korean National Police Agency, ordered emergency rescue support in relation to the aircraft accident that occurred at Muan Airport on the 29th.
According to the Korean National Police Agency, Acting Commissioner Lee instructed, "Mobilize all available police units, including the emergency response team, for thorough emergency rescue support and share real-time situations with relevant agencies such as fire departments, local governments, and the airport."
It was reported that at 9 a.m. on the same day, Jeju Air flight 7C2216 from Bangkok, Thailand, carrying 181 people including crew and passengers, crashed while attempting to land on the runway at Muan International Airport, resulting in 28 deaths so far.
