According to the travel industry, travel agency A sold a package tour from the 25th to this day, lasting 3 nights and 5 days, to Bangkok, Thailand. The package included golfing in Bangkok, foot massages, and a dinner cruise, and was priced at approximately 1.4 million won per person. The return schedule was set to depart from Bangkok at 1:30 a.m. local time and land at Muan International Airport at 8:30 a.m.

A representative from travel agency A noted in a call with CHOSUNBIZ, "It was confirmed that 41 customers were aboard the incident flight," adding, "We have not been able to reach them yet due to a lack of family contact information." Most customers who used the package tour were said to be middle-aged and older.
