Two crew members rescued during the Jeju Air passenger plane disaster at Muan International Airport have been transported to a hospital in Seoul.
A representative from Mokpo Central Hospital in South Jeolla province noted, around 4 p.m. on the 29th, that the patient transfer was completed at the family's request. One of the two survivors, a female crew member identified as Gu, 25, was receiving treatment at this hospital. The hospital reported that Gu sustained injuries to the ankle and head but is in a stable condition without life-threatening concerns.
The hospital medical staff said that when the patient first arrived at the hospital, Gu communicated about areas of pain, and the blood pressure was normal, adding that there was significant bleeding from the right side of the head, likely indicating vascular damage, and the right ankle was swollen, possibly from being trapped.
The male crew member, identified as Lee, 33, who was rescued alongside Gu, was also transferred, at the family's request, to a university hospital in Seoul from Mokpo Korea Hospital around 1 p.m. that day. Lee, who was responsible for passenger services at the rear of the aircraft, suffered a fracture to the left shoulder and injuries to the head but is conscious. The hospital stated that Lee's pulse is normal and mobility is possible.
