It has been confirmed that the National Investigation Headquarters' special investigation team summoned People's Power Party lawmaker Choo Kyung-ho in connection with the 'Dec. 3 martial law situation.'

According to the police on the 28th, the special investigation team summoned lawmaker Choo in the status of a suspect for questioning. The police obtained a communication warrant for Choo's mobile phone, secured part of the call records, and it is known that they are analyzing them.

Lawmaker Choo is suspected of requesting from National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-shik a delay in the vote to lift martial law on the 3rd, when martial law was declared, as the floor leader of the People's Power Party, or obstructing the vote to lift martial law by convening an emergency party meeting. In this regard, he has been reported by civic groups including Lawyers for a Democratic Society (Minbyun).
