The police launched a compulsory investigation on the 27th regarding allegations that Song Min-ho of the group WINNER inadequately performed duties as a social service worker.
Seoul Mapo Police Station reportedly secured materials to prove the allegations by conducting a search and seizure at the community service facility in Mapo-gu, where Song worked, around 1:50 p.m. on this day. Prior to the search, the police also secured closed-circuit (CC)TV installed at the facility.
The police began investigating Song Min-ho after receiving a request for investigation on the 23rd from the Military Manpower Administration regarding his alleged violation of the military service law.
They are also looking into public complaints via the National Sinmungo system, requesting an investigation into the 'Military service transaction allegations' between Song Min-ho and the facility manager.
Song Min-ho started serving as a social service worker in March last year and finished on the 23rd. However, a report emerged on the 17th, suspecting that he did not properly fulfill his duties, sparking a controversy over inadequate service.
