The Korea meteorological Administration said on the 27th that wet and heavy snow will fall nationwide until the 28th. Some areas in North Jeolla Province and South Chungcheong Province will see up to 20 cm and 10 cm of snow, respectively. With wet snow accumulating, caution is advised for safety management as structures like greenhouses or roadside trees may collapse.
As cold air from the north passes over the warm Yellow Sea, cloud formations are developing due to the temperature difference between the seawater and the atmosphere. Snow and rain will begin that afternoon in the Chungcheong and Jeolla regions and spread nationwide. The west coast of North Jeolla Province and the southern inland of North Jeolla Province are expected to have snow falling at a rate of 3 cm per hour, while the west coast of South Chungcheong Province, the southern inland of South Chungcheong Province, North Jeolla Province, and the northwest area of South Jeolla Province are expected to see 1 to 3 cm of snow per hour.
