The special investigation team of the National Investigation Headquarters of the Korean National Police Agency, investigating the 'Dec. 3 martial law situation,' booked former Army 2nd Armored Brigade Commander Gu Sam-hui and others on the 24th on suspicion of involvement in the martial law situation.

The special investigation team announced through a media notice that day that they booked and notified the summoning of Defense Innovation Planning Director Bang Jeong-hwan and Defense Counter-Intelligence Command Division 1 Chief Jeong Seong-woo along with the former brigade commander.

It was investigated that the former brigade commander attended the 'second Lotteria meeting' led by former Intelligence Commander No Sang-won on the afternoon of the 3rd, when martial law was declared, and was waiting at the Pangyo 100th Brigade office after the declaration. Planning Director Bang Jeong-hwan, who was also booked, was present at the 100th Brigade office at that time.

The armored brigade operates tanks. As it became known that the former brigade commander, who leads the tank unit, waited at the units related to martial law beyond his command, suspicions arose that the tank unit was also intended to be used as martial law forces.

There are also suspicions that the former brigade commander attempted to take on the role of 'second investigation unit commander' led by former Commander No. It is reported that there was an attempt to form a 'second investigation unit' outside the official Joint Investigation Unit within the Joint Command during martial law at the second Lotteria meeting.

It was investigated that Division 1 Chief Jeong Seong-woo received specific instructions related to the 'mission to seize the election commission' from then-Defense Commander Ye In-hyeong.

Meanwhile, the police announced that they transferred Colonels Kim Bong-gyu and Jeong Seong-wook from the Intelligence Command, who attended the 'first Lotteria meeting' on the 1st, two days before martial law, to the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO). The two colonels are accused of being accomplices in former Intelligence Commander Mun Sang-ho's rebellion and obstruction of the exercise of rights through abuse of authority. They were also present at the 100th Brigade office on the day martial law was declared.

The police also announced that Colonel Go Dong-hee from the Intelligence Command, known to be involved in the mission to seize the election commission, was transferred along with them to the CIO.
