Lawyer Kang Yong-seok, who was brought to trial for allegedly inciting the false accusation by blogger Kim Mi-na, who was active as 'Dodomam,' has been sentenced to a suspended prison term. As a result, Kang is banned from practicing law for four years.

According to the legal community on the 22nd, the Supreme Court's second division dismissed Kang's appeal, who was indicted on charges of inciting perjury, and upheld the original ruling of six months in prison with two years probation, finalized on the 6th.

Kang was indicted for inciting Kim, 'Dodomam,' a popular blogger in 2015, to falsely accuse a securities firm Deputy Minister A of rape and injury. According to the lawyer's law, if a lawyer receives a suspended sentence, the lawyer's qualification is revoked for a period of the probationary period plus two additional years.

Kang also received a dismissal of appeal in a separate case where he was indicted for alleging collusion between politics and finance related to Cho Kuk, former head of the National Innovation Party, receiving a fine in the second trial. On the 20th, the Supreme Court's third division upheld the original ruling, fining Kang 5 million won for defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act.
