According to the prosecution on the 22nd, the martial law special investigation team of the prosecution (Deputy Minister Park Se-hyun, chief prosecutor of the Seoul High Prosecutors' Office) conducted a field investigation at the Intelligence Command in Anyang, Gyeonggi Province, on the 19th and 20th of this month. The special investigation team reportedly secured testimonies on whether arrest operations were organized during the Dec. 3 martial law, and who received what instructions.

The Intelligence Command is under suspicion of deploying agents to the Central Election Management Committee in Gwacheon City and mobilizing members of its subordinate unit, HID, in an attempt to arrest election commission staff immediately after President Yoon Suk-yeol's martial law proclamation. Intelligence Commander Moon Sang-ho and former Commander No Sang-won, identified as involved in this process, are currently detained and being investigated by the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials and the police for rebellion charges, respectively.

The Intelligence Command is an agency responsible for collecting military intelligence and conducting espionage operations. Its organizational structure and missions are mostly classified.
