With the passage of the impeachment proposal against President Yoon Suk-yeol in the National Assembly, citizens' opinions supporting or opposing the impeachment are pouring onto the Constitutional Court's website.

According to legal circles and political circles on the 16th, more than 37,000 posts related to the impeachment were uploaded on the Constitutional Court's website bulletin board as of 11 a.m. on the 16th.

Typically, 1 to 3 posts are uploaded per day, but on the day the impeachment proposal was passed, the 14th, about 10 posts were uploaded, and the number is now surging.

The content of the posts is sharply divided between support and opposition to the impeachment, resembling the arguments of National Assembly impeachment committee members and presidential defense attorneys.

A person who posted, identified as A, said, "How can someone who keeps the people awake at night with fear, does not reflect on their wrongdoings, induces public anger, and constantly blames others while engaging in agitation and lies, represent the people and the country?" emphasizing that the impeachment motion should be upheld.

Another poster, referred to as B, wrote, "Please help restore the lost balance of separation of powers through the impeachment decision and ensure no civil and criminal liabilities are avoided thereafter."

On the other hand, someone known as C argued, "Martial law is justified, and it's a governing act mentioned in the constitution. The internal disturbance was caused by the Democratic Party that paralyzed state affairs," asserting that the Constitutional Court should dismiss the impeachment motion.

Meanwhile, some civic groups plan to voice their opinions offline as well towards the Constitutional Court.

The progressive group Candlelight Action decided to hold a candlelight cultural festival in front of the Constitutional Court every day at 7 p.m. from the 16th until the impeachment trial is concluded.

It has also been reported that conservative organizations are considering holding rallies in front of the Constitutional Court.
