Biomist Technology said it took part in the 2026 World National Heritage Industry Exhibition, held at the Gyeongju Hwabaek Convention Center (HICO) from the 10th to the 12th, and showcased eco-friendly disinfection technology and equipment for preserving records and cultural heritage.
At this exhibition, it unveiled the new precision disinfection device dedicated to records, "BIO-MASTER X," and "UltraPel," which disinfects storage rooms and other preservation spaces.
Bio-Master X vaporizes the agent in a sealed chamber and, through vacuum and pressure changes and internal circulation, is designed to disinfect not only the outer surfaces of books, old documents, and cultural assets but also the inside pages and binding areas. It treats at a low temperature of about 30±5°C for a standard five hours, reducing stress on materials such as paper, leather, and textiles. UltraPel converts a liquid agent into ultra-fine particles and disperses them across large preservation spaces such as storage rooms.
A company representative said, "With climate change and the diversification of preservation environments, the importance of preventive management against biological deterioration factors such as mold and pests is increasing," and added, "Based on nearly 30 years of accumulated cultural heritage disinfection technology, we will advance preservation solutions that cover everything from individual records to storage spaces, and actively promote Korea's cultural heritage preservation technology in overseas markets."
Biomist Technology has been developing cultural heritage disinfection technology since the late 1990s and has supplied equipment and solutions to domestic public institutions and overseas preservation institutions in Japan, Malaysia, Oman, and elsewhere.
