Four domestic biotech corporations will meet with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) medical products regulator to discuss the approvals and review procedures needed to enter the local market.

The Ministery of Food and Drug Safety said on the 8th it will hold a roundtable between seven members of the UAE medical products regulator (EDE) delegation, including agency head Fatima Al Kaabi, and domestic biotech corporations.

Four corporations, including Bio Solution(086820), Corestemchemon(166480), CHA Biotech(085660), and ORGANOIDSCIENCES(476040), will take part in the roundtable. Each corporation will introduce its key products and technologies and its plans to enter the UAE to EDE, and will directly ask about local approval and review procedures and what is needed to enter the market.

The UAE is considered one of the hubs for entering the Middle East market. The Ministery of Food and Drug Safety plans to use this roundtable to help domestic corporations identify local regulatory procedures and market entry conditions in advance.

After the roundtable, the EDE delegation will also visit Bio Solution's cell and gene therapy (CGT) research facility. They will tour the facilities and equipment needed for cell therapy research and analysis and process development and look at the research and development environment and technological level of Korea's advanced biopharmaceuticals.

The Ministery of Food and Drug Safety also plans to strengthen cooperation with the UAE regulator on the occasion of this visit. The agency said it will continue field-centered regulatory cooperation that links cooperation networks with overseas regulators to export opportunities for domestic corporations.
