Korea Roche said on the 7th that it received a plaque of appreciation from the Korean Society of Medical Oncology. It was recognized for contributing to advances in precision cancer medicine.
Korea Roche is participating in the KOSMOS II study as a private-sector partner corporations. This research involves the Korean Society of Medical Oncology, the Korean Association for Cancer Therapy, Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI), and National Cancer Center. It analyzes genomic alterations in 1,000 patients with rare solid tumors at 32 hospitals nationwide and proposes tailored treatment strategies.
Korea Roche will invest 10 billion won to support clinical trials at hospitals nationwide. The study is seen as creating an environment in which patients with severe and rare cancers can receive personalized treatment even at regional hub hospitals.
