Celltrion(068270) said on the 3rd that its market share for the autoimmune disease treatment Steqeyma increased in the United States. Steqeyma is a biosimilar of Stelara, developed by the global pharmaceutical company Janssen.
According to IQVIA, Steqeyma's U.S. market share rose by 6 percentage points, from 10.2% in February this year to 16.2% in July. The company noted it has been expanding prescriptions by selling Steqeyma directly in the United States since last year.
The autoimmune disease treatment Inflectra and the blood cancer treatment Truxima also surpassed a 30% share in the United States. Celltrion sells Remsima, a biosimilar of Johnson & Johnson's Remicade, in the United States under the name Inflectra. Truxima is a biosimilar of Rituxan, sold by Switzerland's Roche.
Celltrion plans to introduce OMLYCLO in the United States to treat asthma and hives. OMLYCLO is a biosimilar of XOLAIR, developed by Switzerland's Novartis. A Celltrion official said, "We will continue to deliver meaningful results in the United States."
