JW Pharmaceutical(001060) said on the 24th it will expand the eye drop brand "Friends," including artificial tears. In the second half of this year, it will sequentially roll out foods and cosmetics that help eye health, as well as eye-massage medical devices. The plan is to make it a brand encountered not only when eyes are dry but also in everyday life.
The existing product, Friends Eye Drop solution, ranked No. 1 in domestic sales from 2013 through last year (IQVIA). The company plans to go beyond over-the-counter drugs sold at pharmacies and introduce a variety of products at convenience stores and big-box retailers. It also decided to broaden its consumer base from people in their teens and 20s to health-conscious people in their 30s to 50s.
The company plans to grow the Friends brand based on its existing recognition. It will also revamp product designs to align with the brand identity (BI). It visually expressed clear and healthy eyes you meet every day.
