A new program will be run to support postdoctoral researchers in conducting independent research at government-funded research institutes.
National Research Council of Science & Technology (NST) said on the 24th it will push the National Postdoc Fellowship (NPF) project to identify early-career researchers in national strategic technologies.
This year's project will inject 7.6 billion won and select about 38 people. Selected researchers will receive up to three years of 90 million won per year for salary and 1 billion won per year for research project costs. One overseas exchange or training trip will also be supported once over three years for up to 30 million won.
NPF focuses on enabling postdoctoral researchers to build independent research experience while using the research facilities and infrastructure of the Government-funded research institute. NST also plans to run education programs and researcher exchange and learning programs.
This year's recruitment will proceed with NST issuing an integrated announcement that reflects participating institutes' demand for research personnel. Applicants can check the recruitment fields, working conditions, and required documents on the NST integrated recruitment website and each institute's website starting on the 25th. The application deadline is Sept. 15.
