Kim Sung-gyun, head of Seoul Nat'I University Dental Hospital (SNUDH), reported the second-largest assets among current senior public officials who disclosed their assets this month.
According to the ad hoc asset registration for senior public officials announced by the Government Public Officials Ethics Committee on the 21st, the aggregates of assets owned by Kim and his family total 12.81175 billion won. Among current senior public officials who disclosed assets this month, this is the second largest after Park Hye-jin, head of the Korea National Opera (about 46.5 billion won).
Real estate accounts for the largest share of Kim's assets. The declared value of buildings is 11.98981 billion won.
Among them, the Hyundai Apartments (126.41㎡) in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, are key; combining the principal's equity (101.13㎡) of 5.48203 billion won and the spouse's equity (25.28㎡) of 1.37051 billion won totals 6.85254 billion won.
He also reported a mixed-use building (dwellings+store, 200.61㎡) in Gye-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, under the spouse's name for 3.75 billion won. Also included were the mother's Daechi Prugio Ballad in Gaepo-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul (40.97㎡, 684.83 million won); a jeonse right for Olympic Park Foreon in Dunchon-dong, Gangdong-gu (84.00㎡, 600 million won); and an officetel in Gayang-dong, Gangseo-gu (29㎡, 102.44 million won) under the eldest daughter's name.
He reported deposits of 2.08633 billion won and securities of 3.27292 billion won.
Debt totals 1.8 billion won, combining the spouse's financial debt (Shinhan Bank, 940 million won), building lease debt, and a lease deposit under the mother's name.
He also registered a golf membership (88 Country Club, 980 million won) and a health club membership.
Baek Nam-jong, head of Seoul National University Hospital (SNUH), reported assets of 5.5029 billion won under his and his family's names.
The value of buildings is the largest at 4.119 billion won. These include the principal's Olympic Athletes and Press Village Apartments in Bangi-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul (132.23㎡, 2.176 billion won); a jeonse right for Hyundai Noblis in Gumi-dong, Bundang-gu, Seongnam, Gyeonggi (201.29㎡, 950 million won); and the spouse's Mujigae Maeul Shinhan Geonyoung Apartments in Gumi-dong, Bundang-gu (107.51㎡, 993 million won).
Deposits are 2.06861 billion won, and securities are 3.07239 billion won.
The value of land, including forest land in Gangneung and Pyeongchang and farmland in Mokpo, South Jeolla, is 264.17 million won.
Debt reported totals 1.4775 billion won, including a 787.5 million won lease deposit for the Bangi-dong apartment, the spouse's private debt of 140 million won, and a Bundang lease deposit of 550 million won.
A Hansung Country Club golf membership (980 million won) and virtual assets of 191.93 million won were also registered.
Bok Su-gyeong, head of Chungnam National University Hospital (CNUH), reported assets of 2.82276 billion won.
The value of buildings is 1.2844 billion won, including the principal's Central Park Apartments in Munhwa-dong, Jung-gu, Daejeon (123.64㎡, 486 million won) and the father's Magnolia Apartments in Dunsan-dong, Seo-gu, Daejeon (117.76㎡, 783 million won). The value of land owned by the father, including farmland in Dechi-myeon, Cheongyang-gun, South Chungcheong, is 174.55 million won.
Deposits are 1.25782 billion won, and securities are 90.5 million won.
Those subject to this disclosure are 73 senior public officials whose status changed from May 2 to June 1.
