Second-quarter sales were about 6.1 billion won, down about 34% from a year earlier. Sales of the main product DeepCARS in the second quarter were about 5.2 billion won, and first-half sales were 10.4 billion won.
The company said DeepCARS is currently going through procedures related to the new health technology assessment and is maintaining sales centered on existing customers. It expects market expansion and improved performance on the back of the new health technology assessment results in the fourth quarter.
The portable electrocardiogram measuring device "HATIV" continued its growth. Second-quarter sales were 600 million won, up 80% from a year earlier, and first-half sales were 1.2 billion won, up 35%.
Supply expanded for corporations, public institutions, and schools, centered on the kiosk-type "HATIV K30" released last year. The portable product "HATIV P30" signed its first export contract in the Middle East last month.
Overseas operations are also expanding. In Germany, it is conducting a retrospective validation of DeepCARS with Europe's largest university hospital and discussing expanding integration with electronic medical records (EMR) to other wards.
In Singapore, it is pursuing validation with a local hospital, and in the Middle East, it is going through government approval and system integration procedures for a demonstration with Kuwait National Hospital. In the United States, it is preparing to refile for FDA 510(k).
It is also pushing overseas expansion of preventive healthcare AI solutions. "VUNO Med-Fundus AI," which detects 12 findings related to eye diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, completed local validation in Germany and signed a sales contract with a local medical device company. In Brazil, it is preparing for launch while carrying out approvals and local hospital validation in parallel.
Lee Ye-ha, VUNO CEO, said, "The most important momentum this year is the new health technology assessment of DeepCARS in the fourth quarter," adding, "We will strengthen the foundation for growth by simultaneously expanding overseas business for key solutions and improving operational efficiency through companywide AI transformation (AX)."
