Huons(243070) posted sales of 288.8 billion won and operating profit of 2.2 billion won in the first half of this year. Sales decreased from a year earlier, and operating profit also fell sharply. In the second quarter, it returned to an operating profit, but it posted a net loss, leaving a recovery in profitability as a task.
Huons said in a filing on the 11th that second-quarter sales on a consolidation basis were provisionally tallied at 146.981 billion won. That was down 5.8% from a year earlier.
Second-quarter operating profit was 2.927 billion won, down 77.6% from the same period last year. However, it swung to a profit from an operating loss of 600 million won in the first quarter.
The net loss was 1.077 billion won, turning to a deficit from a net profit of 11.8 billion won in the second quarter of last year. First-half net profit fell short of 100 million won.
